Theresa Wordelmann was nominated by her colleague, Jessica McCarthy.
Mrs. Wordelmann is enthusiastic and dedicated to the staff and students of Jeffrey Clark School. She motivates the students to learn more about authors and different geners of books. She has created many programs that not only excite the staff and students but help them develop a passion for reading.
Last year, Mrs. Wordelmann began the “Poem in Your Pocket” program to help students with public speaking, reading poems, and writing poems. Students could visit local businesses in the community and read a poem for different prizes. She also made up daily rap songs to get the school excited for the school poem of the day. Mrs. Wordelmann's rap skills are impressive.
"If you had a chance to be in Mrs. Wordelmann's presence, you would be amazed by her energy and kind spirit which is contagious," McCarthy said. "She makes you want to always do your best, and isn’t that what we want for all students?"
