Alicia Curtis was nominated by her colleague, Emmi Novotorov.
Ms. Curtis has proven her ability to make a beneficial difference in the lives of students that she teaches. She pushes them to learn more by digging deeper into what she teaches. She researches and revises the way she teaches concepts to her students. Ms. Curtis is always positive and wants to improve the school by helping students be successful.
She shows leadership within her school by attending PLC meetings, staff meetings and being an active member of the Leader In Me Committee. The staff and students at her school can speak to her record of excellent performance at the professional level. She is committed to producing a nurturing atmosphere in her classroom. Students and staff are always welcome in her classroom. Often times, you will see students enjoying lunch with her. As always, she adheres to high moral and ethical standards on and off of campus.
