On several occasions, Mrs. Reilly has purchased cards or small gifts for students going through a tough time, just to make their day a little brighter. This kind of gesture is so thoughtful and makes people feel so special. With a case load of over 300 students, it can be difficult to meet with each student individually, but Mrs. Reilly does her best to get to know them on a personal level.

Students often return after graduating to pop in and say hello or tell her about their new experiences. She is more than just a guidance counselor; she is a kind word and a listening ear. Like most jobs, some days are more difficult than others, especially situations when a student’s safety is in danger. Although it can be a stressful position at times, Mrs. Reilly approaches every situation with a calm demeanor and a logical mindset. She works with families and colleagues to figure out the best situation for each individual. No matter what, she is there every step of the way, supporting students however she can.
"Mrs. Reilly is a fun-loving individual who has worked extremely hard to get to where she is today. Sometimes it takes just one person to believe in a student for them to succeed. Mrs. Reilly makes a difference every day and truly deserves to be recognized as a LifeChanger," her nominator said.
