Mrs. Jenkins is definitely a person that is working in her calling! I’ve known Mrs. Jenkins since she was in first grade and I can remember back then, her excitement and passion to be picked to be the teacher’s helper. Her desire to help others has not changed.
Mrs. Jenkins applies her academic artistry, self-less personality, and also involves other professionals, her students and their family; to cultivate an environment where her student can achieve academic success.
Mrs. Jenkins dedication to being a tool to assist in changing her students lives for the better academically while instilling the importance of being kind, studious, and helping others is admirable. Mrs. Jenkins teaching techniques goes beyond the books, assignments, pens, and papers. She has a life-lasting impacts on her students lives in and outside of the classroom. She has a special way of helping her students believe and apply that can achieve anything that they put their minds to, that they are important, and that they are the brilliant world-changing leaders of tomorrow! For this and many more reasons, I believe that Mrs. Shannon Jenkins should be selected as the Life Changer of the Year Award.
Every since my friend, Mrs. Shannon Jenkins became an educator, she has been deeply involved in cultivating bright young minds. Mrs. Jenkins goes above and beyond to make a difference in the class, and inspires her students to see their greatest potential beyond their environment. For example, through the years, Mrs. Jenkins has enlisted the assistance of professionals from various career fields to make presentations to her class. Prior to the start of the school year, Mrs. Jenkins makes a point to involve family and close friends to help decorate her classroom with the unique theme she has thought of for the students. This makes for a community-like feel, knowing that we are involved in helping to make an enjoyable environment for her students to learn and grow. Not only is Mrs. Jenkins a marvelous teacher, more importantly she is a wonderful mom, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend with a kind heart. For these reasons and more, I believe Mrs. Jenkins should be selected for LifeChanger of the Year.
