Audrey Stockdale was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous.
Mrs. Stockdale began her teaching career at Reeltown in 2007 teaching first grade. She taught first grade for ten years, spending the last four years departmentalized in math. During the 2017-2018 school year, she moved to second grade math. Currently, she is teaching fourth grade math to 70 eager students. She is passionate about children and has a love for their understanding of mathematics. She has grown professionally and personally during the past 12 years at Reeltown Schools and enjoys each day, considering it a blessing to be at Reeltown Elementary School shaping young lives.
Mrs. Stockdale is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Alabama Education Association, National Education Association, and the Alabama Council for Teachers of Mathematics. She is AMSTI, ARI, and TEAM Math trained. She has served on the Reeltown School Vision and Mission Team, Reeltown Technology Team, Reeltown Finance Team, Reeltown Recognition/Public Relations team, SACS Accreditation committee, EARIC textbook committee, and the Tallapoosa County curriculum review committee.
Mrs. Stockdale has served as a mentor teacher and grade level leader during her years of service at Reeltown. She is currently serving as the Math Department Chair for Reeltown Elementary School. She was the Reeltown Elementary School teacher of the year in 2015-2016. Mrs. Stockdale has also served as both Junior Varsity and Varsity cheer coach during her tenure at Reeltown.
In the past few years, Mrs. Stockdale has served on the Reeltown Youth Football League Board, East Alabama Youth Football League Board, Reeltown Dixie Girls’ Softball board, as the Reeltown Youth Football League Cheer Coordinator, as the Reeltown T-Ball Commissioner, and as a coach for both softball and t-ball. Her husband, Nic, serves as small groups’ minister at First Baptist Church, and she serves with him actively in adult ministry, youth ministry, children’s ministry, and community outreach.
