Stephanie Jensen was nominated by her colleague, Maritza Borjon.

Ms. Jensen has been the principal at Andrew Cooke Magnet School in Waukegan, IL for almost three years. Her commitment to her students and staff is only one of the many amazing things about her. She brings an energy of love, humor and professional collaboration to her school. She works closely with her staff to provide them with the resources to be effective. Ms. Jensen knows every child's name and the class they are in. She has an extensive knowledge of special ed, general ed, and educational law as well. She has been an immense help!

I appreciate how supportive Ms. Jensen is of the special education population. She is knowledgeable about policies, procedures, and the curriculum used with the diverse population. Ms. Jensen also greets each student by name, and has high expectations of these students. Her presence in our building is refreshing!
