Laura Campbell was nominated by her principal, Trisha Turner.
Ms. Campbell has held a ten and a half month position as the school bookkeeper for the last ten years.
"She has helped me in more ways than I can even count. If we look at the definition of a true LifeChanger, it would be someone who invests their time in making a difference in the lives of others. Laura Campbell is that person," Turner said.
Ms. Campbell provides her students with food and clothing when they might not otherwise be able to afford it. She not only does this during school days, but also on the weekends, throughout the school year, and during the summer. Ms. Campbell also speaks to recruiters on behalf of her students and helps them find their path after high school. All of the students refer to her as "Ma." She makes the students feel welcomed and nurtured, and volunteers to help with athletic events as well as career tech events.
"She goes above and beyond what she was hired to do. She is a LifeChanger!" Turner said.
