Music that Describes Haywood

Haywood Law was nominated by his father, Victor Law

"My son Haywood Hillyer (Sandy) Law is a dedicated middle school teacher. I know that I am prejudiced, but I know that he goes the extra mile when attending to his students. He teaches Texas History and actively produces in-class activities that emulate the historical situation his students are currently studying," said Victor.

Mr. Law is loved by his students and their parents. He actively participates in parent-teacher meetings. He is actively involved with students, not only in the classroom, but in their personal lives. If a student is faltering, he is quick to contact their parents to meet with them and their child. He has saved many students from failure by being proactive in their interest.

For several years, he was a football/baseball coach and was loved by his student-athletes. He gave up coaching so that he could pay more attention to his classroom students.

"I can't think of a more deserving candidate for LifeChanger of the Year. He is more than simply dedicated to his students; he changes their lives by being actively involved in their success," said Victor.

My son was one of his students last year. He absolutely went above and beyond to keep me informed and allowed my son every opportunity to make the grade.

I agree 100%! Toward the end of her 7th grade year my daughter had a medical issue that required her to be home bound. Mr. Law was the ONLY teacher that came to our house to make sure she had what she needed for his class, go over assignments with her and show concern for her. We will both always remember him for that. He probably doesn’t even know how much of an impact he made and how grateful we were. She enjoyed being in his class and loved that he went the extra mile for her! A very special man!
