What is a life changer? Someone who makes you realize your unique potential and gives you the confidence to achieve it. Ms. Gonzalez is absolutely a life changer to our son Patrick. As his reading intervention teacher, she invests her time and commitment to boost his confidence, understand his uniqueness, and overcome significant vision impairment to make him a confident reader. Patrick was recognized with 2 awards for his significant improvement in reading fluency two times this year! We continue to be grateful for Ms. Gonzalez and the difference she makes in our son’s life.
I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Gonzalez for the past seven years. She is an amazing educator who is deeply loved by her coworkers, students, and the community. She inspires her students to become the best individuals they can be, in and out of the classroom. She is always willing to go above and beyond to help others. I am truly blessed to call Ms. Gonzalez my coworker and friend. I am so proud of you! She definitely deserves the title of a Life Changer.

It has been my pleasure to have Ms. Gonzalez as a coworker for the past 5 years. Not only is she a wonderful teacher, she is also a wonderful friend. Her advice and friendship helps to make me a better teacher. She wants to see everyone, teachers and students, be successful. She is always willing to go out of her way to help others, even when she has a million things to do herself. I do not know how she gets it all done! She certainly deserves the title of "LifeChanger"!

Ms. Gonzalez congratulations on a job well done. These are the type of accomplishments that makes it all worth it! As parents we want our students to be able to lean and depend on their educators to uplift them and help to encourage the desire of life long learning. As educators we desire to make a difference in at least one student's life and you've done just that. Thank you for being a shining example of what the world of education is all about. I am proud to be in your company.
Ms. Gonzalez was my mentor when I first started teaching. She is very knowledgeable, passionate, and intentional when it comes to her job. Her students leave her classroom knowing they are loved and that Ms. Gonzalez wants nothing but the best for them. She challenges students to do things they didn't know they were capable of doing and always pushes them to be their best selves, not only academically, but as an individual. Ms. Gonzalez builds a rapport with her students that leaves a lasting impact! She is more than deserving of the LifeChanger of the Year award!
Melina has been my best friend for several years. She has pushed me in ways that I’m sure she does not even know. Melina/Ms. Gonzalez will have, what seems like, a million things to do, but she gets EVERYTHING done on time. I’ve always admired that about her because it motivates me to stop complaining so much. The children that Ms. Gonzalez teach are lucky to have her because she works hard to make sure that they leave her classroom prepared for what is next!
Melina is such a kind, patient and fun person to be around. She puts her all into her career because she cares about each and every child and wants to make a positive impact. So proud!!!
Ms.Gonzalez was my son’s third grade teacher. My son Saruk loved being in her classroom. Saruk would share with me the different activities they do in class and that how she makes learning fun. Ms. Gonzalez was always ready to take the time and listen and offer help whenever I had a concern about Saruk. She always shows respect to her students as well as their parents.
