Carmen Barnes is a Lifechanger! Carmen took advantage of STEMAZing Workshops we were offering through our local United Way. At one of these workshops, she overheard my need for a teacher who could translate lessons into Spanish and facilitate STEMAZing Workshops in Honduras. She jumped at the opportunity and the rest, as they say, is history - an adventurous history with an incredible future. Carmen went above and beyond to bring engaging lessons to life for the educators we worked with in Honduras. Her impact continues to expand as she designed and facilitated a Simple Machine workshop for her early childhood educator peers earlier this year. I feel incredibly lucky to work with Carmen. I am looking forward to many more adventures positively impacting STEM education in southern Arizona and beyond with her help!
