You have changed many lives Raquel! You have made a huge difference in the lives of your students, in the Relay for Life campaign, and in the laughter and joy you've brought to our halls. I so wish we could celebrate the end of this school year with you. My children and my students have been lucky to have you over the years, and I am lucky to have been able to call you a coworker and friend. Congratulations on this award and on your retirement! Don't be a stranger next year!

Raquel has been one of the most dedicated teachers I have ever known. I'm very happy for you to cross this bridge and even happier for the students who were fortunate to have you as their teacher. Knowing you had breast cancer twice and never missing a lesson, makes you a Life Changer in my eyes. God Bless you as you move forward in your new endeavors.

I know Raquel both personally and professionally, she is very deserving of this honor. Thirty years she has been an educator who has cared deeply for each class of students she has taught. She has also been an inspiration and role model in the community. Great job Raquel!

Mrs. Tucker served as a Literacy Coach at a school where I was principal. Whether it was offering assistance, ideas, activities, and reading suggestions to help teachers with preparing challenging lessons, or working with students in small groups to provide differentiated instruction, Mrs. Tucker always gave 100% to support her school 24/7!!

Mrs. Tucker is one of the best teachers ever. Both of my boys were blessed to be taught by her and she made a lasting impact in their lives and mine also! She unconditionally loves each and every child that comes through her door and goes above and beyond to do what is best for them!
