Pat Lake was nominated by a parent of a student, Christopher Birkenstamm.

As a school secretary, Mrs. Lake is the key player in communicating with parents and community members about what’s happening at the school. She builds a positive rapport with students, parents, and staff members. Each and every student knows she genuinely cares for them. She is recognized for her outstanding leadership skills and her ability to successfully multi-task throughout the day. Her positive, caring attitude makes the office a welcoming place to walk into when you enter the school. She is compassionate and organized, and most importantly, she does her job with a smile on her face, regardless of the many challenges that the day may bring.

"I have had the opportunity to get to know Mrs. Lake over the years, as all of my five children have been or are current students at Quarry Hill, and I am honored to recommend her for the LifeChanger of the Year Award," Birkenstamm said.

Ms. Lake is a wonderful person, and staff member. I had the pleasure to work with her at Quarry Hill. She is definitely deserving of this honor!

I couldn't agree more with Me Birkstamm!!! Ms.lake is the hardest working secretary I've ever known. She loves what she does and it shows. As a former co-President of our PTO we would have been lost without her support, committment and dedication to our organization and 500 students that see her smiling face when they walk to class in morning. She goes above and beyond and never leaves until the job is done. We are lucky to have her and she not only postively impacts the lives of our children but every person she encounters through those quarry hill doors. She is most deserving of this recommendation and I wholeheartedly stand behind her in this nomination!
