Music that Describes Kimberly
Kimberly Perry was nominated by an anonymous family member.
"Do you think we could help them?"
This is the question or thought that goes through Mrs. Perry's mind at all times. Mrs. Perry is an excellent teacher, both inside and outside the classroom. She is constantly thinking of ways to help and encourage her students. She teaches reading and writing to struggling students, and magic happens in her classroom.
Mrs. Perry is also in charge of a mentoring program at her school called Little Sisters. It's designed to mentor young girls to become leaders and respectful, young ladies. She holds a back to school fundraiser and takes students shopping so they feel good about going back to school. Another thing she does at Christmas is take care of children whose families may just need a little support.
"Mrs. Perry can always be found thinking of others," her nominator said. "Mrs. Perry has taught special education for 21 years. She and her family adopted a son almost four years ago who has Down Syndrome. Mrs. Perry puts her heart into her job and students at all times!"
