Angie Honey was nominated by a colleague who wished to remain anonymous.

Over the past three years, Ms. Honey has been a tremendous asset to her nominator and their students.  She works alongside the entire Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education Department at Eastside High School, where she gives each student individualized attention.  She is uplifting and cares about each student she comes into contact with. Although she has no formal training in the area of agriculture, she is always will to go above and beyond to assist students with their projects, and she even supplements lessons by providing material.  This year, after a discussion about sheep, Ms. Honey cooked an entire leg of lamb for each of the students to try.  Additionally, she is the club sponsor for "GILMOUR girls." This club cultivates positive self images for young women and builds their confidence. Furthermore, she is the ladies' varsity tennis coach for her school, and she and her athletes have been very successful.

"Ms. Honey allows and encourages me to be a better teacher each day," her nominator said. "She allows me to vent and gives me a more positive outlook on any situation. I have never met a more positive person."
