Tanya Meadows was nominated by a student who wishes to remain anonymous.
Mrs. Meadows has been her nominator's English teacher for over three years, with this year being her last. She has the ability to make English come to life through her enthusiasm, passion, and love of being a teacher.
"Going to her class is something we look forward to," the nominator said. "She is one of the greatest teachers I have ever known, and you can really tell she cares about the subject and her students."
Mrs. Meadows is committed to excellence, and her lessons extend beyond the confines of her classroom's walls. She is involved in her school and was the volleyball coach for several years.
"It is this teacher that I have to thank for my love for English," the nominator said. "I will forever be thankful that I had the chance to meet Mrs. Meadows and learn from her. She taught me many things that I will continue to use throughout my lifetime, and I’m forever grateful for someone like her."
