Brittany Roberts' nominator wishes to remain anonymous.
Ms. Roberts is a social worker at Shoreview Elementary School who helps students cope with problems in their everyday lives. At school, she offers a wide range of groups such as social skills groups, anger management groups, grief groups, and a group for students with incarcerated loved ones. Ms. Roberts is always there to help de-escalate intense situations and work one-on-one with students dealing with behavior problems.
Ms. Roberts has even started to go above her job duty by getting parents involved in the school community. She helps organize events, gather parent volunteers, and helps out with the PTA. She goes out of her way to meet with parents and even does home visits to make sure students and families are safe. Ms. Roberts also connects families to resources that alleviate barriers causing a dysfunction.
"She has shown excellent services in the Euclid School District and volunteers for different school functions," the nominator said. "The interactions and bonds she builds with the students and their families have a tremendous effect within the Euclid school community."
