Ronda Stapleton was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous.
Ms. Stapleton is an extraordinary individual. She is an army veteran, wife of a veteran, mother of two sons, a leader, mentor, and a teacher. Many years ago, Ms. Stapleton started a Robotics Club at Bowdon Elementary School, and her teams have won numerous awards and recognition. As the Robotics Club continued to grow, she decided to start a variety of other technology clubs that meet and compete during the school year as well. Many students in these clubs have participated in local and state technology competitions.
Ms. Stapleton puts in her time and effort into making these clubs the best they can be, and even hosts summer technology camps for students in the school system. Along with leading the school's technology teams, she teaches math with fidelity and rigor. Her students show tremendous growth throughout the year and perform at the highest levels. Ms. Stapleton demands the best for her students at all times, whether they are in her fifth grade classroom or in one of the many technology clubs.
"It takes a special person to go above and beyond the normal duties and responsibilities of a teacher," the nominator said. "Ronda is that special person that strives for excellence for her school, her students, and her community. Ronda is a LifeChanger!"
