Julie Lant was nominated by parent of a student, Erika Schnell.
Schnell's daughter had Mrs. Lant as her third grade teacher. When she moved on to fourth grade with her fellow classmates, there were a few issues regarding the classroom environment. Mrs. Lant helped Schnell and other parents get through these tough times by taking their children under her wing. She was there for the students, parents and the school district. Since then, Mrs. Lant has taken the place of the fourth grade teacher.
"She continues to change the lives of our children and has always had their best interests at heart," Schnell said.
