Mr. Fyke changes the lives of everyone he meets. He has dedicated the last 28 years to making a difference in the lives of his students by leading them in band, orchestra, and choir. He helps his students progress from having no musical knowledge to being top-notch high school musicians.
Along with teaching students throughout the day, Mr. Fyke donates his time after school supervising elementary students in grades 3-6. He dedicates his time to helping students understand the importance of being well-rounded, being a good citizen and exploring all possibilities for their career choices. Mr. Fyke allows his students to understand their strengths so they can choose the best career path for their future, and even helps them overcome their shortcomings.
He spends an enormous amount of time overseeing extracurricular musical activities such as holiday events, parades and homecoming.
"He constantly moves his students toward excellence, achievement and success," Sisko said.
