Kristan McAnallen-Giddinge was nominated by her father, Mac McAnallen.
Ms. McAnallen-Giddinge is a very special individual. She is very dedicated to her autism students during the school year and over the summer months, tutoring them at home so they keep up.
She has a family at home and is raising two sons while working multiple jobs. On top of her work at school, Ms. McAnallen-Giddinge has credentials as a Medical Assistant. She works her school schedule, then does home care in the evenings and weekends with veterans and seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
"You may say I am a parent just bragging, but it's easy to see how many people, peers, friends and family she has impacted!" Mr. McAnallen said.
