Emily Priddy was nominated by her principal, Michael Broadbent.

Mrs. Priddy makes a difference in the lives of her students every day. She's a mother of four children and has worked for the past seven years at Ben Johnson Elementary School. She makes a lasting impact, not only her students, but on her school and learning community.

Mrs. Priddy has served as her school's Student Technology and Leadership Program Coordinator for the past seven years. Her work led to her school being recognized by the Kentucky Department of Education as a Gold Level School for the past six years. She builds strong, long-lasting relationships with current, former, and future students. In the words of one of her students, "You just know that she cares about you, and you don't want to let her down. She's pretty awesome!"

"She takes time every day to help students understand that she believes in them and their potential to be great," Broadbent said. "At BJES, we want Mrs. Priddy to know that we are truly grateful for all she does for our students, staff, and our learning community. Thank you, Mrs. Priddy! Your dedication and passion for teaching and molding tomorrow's leaders makes you a LifeChanger!"

Mrs. Priddy is truly an outstanding teacher and very much deserving of this award. My daughter was switched in November last year to be in Mrs. Priddy's math class. This class was a 4th grade class while my daughter was in 3rd grade. Mrs. Priddy went above and beyond to help her adjust and become comfortable in her classroom. Mrs. Priddy communicated with me via Class DOJO app regularly and met with me numerous times after school for unscheduled conferences. My daughter adjusted well and was very successful in this transition. It is without a doubt because Mrs. Priddy was so compassionate, understanding and willing to go the extra mile that my daughter was able to be successful. She will have Mrs. Priddy as her regular full time classroom teacher this year and we could not be more excited about all of the great things they will do and accomplish. Mrs. Priddy, I completely feel that you deserve this award, no doubt. However if you are not the chosen winner (which I would totally disagree with!) I want you to know that you are truly a life changer for BJES, and Abby. We appreciate you more than words could ever say!!!!

I'm not surprised about this nomination knowing Emily as I do. She's a genuinely caring individual with a strong work ethic to boot! I'm sure she gives 100% everyday to those blessed by her presence. As a teacher myself I know the amount of work it takes to foster a productive learning environment, and as Emily's Aunt, I'm super proud of her!
