Music that Describes Brittany
Brittany Gremore was nominated by a family member, Tina Gremore.
Ms. Gremore is dedicated, passionate, and influential when it comes to being a teacher. She has become the team leader in fourth grade. She works well with her team and would do anything to help them out. She participated in Professional Learning Community leadership meetings within the county. She has been part of training for writing in her county.
Her students adore her. She has made a positive impact on several students. For example, she had an Individualized Education Program meeting with one parent, and the parent couldn't stop thanking her for changing her son's outlook on school this year. She said he never enjoyed school, was a straight F student until this year, and would beg to stay home. Now, he loves coming to school and has made so much progress. He and Ms. Gremore even have a handshake at the end of every day. She always talks about how important it is to build relationships with students, which she strives to do every year. She tries to get to know every student in her class.
On the last day of school, several students cried because they didn't want to leave her. Her principal left her a comment on her evaluation, "Ms.Gremore's relationship building is unmatched." She has impacted several students who have had behavior problems previously. For example, last year, she got a student who wouldn't complete work, threw fits, and flipped people off. Ms. Gremore worked hard to build a relationship with this student, and they thrived last year. Her principal talks about how good of a job she did with this student. Ms. Gremore even had to do a home visit with them this year even though she doesn't teach them anymore because the principal said Ms. Gremore is their favorite person.
