Samantha Pasche was nominated by her principal, Clark Olstad.
Mrs. Pasche is a fantastic teacher. She starts every school day with a fresh start with all her students. It does not matter what happened the day before because each day is a new day and an opportunity for her to help someone succeed.
"Being an educator is one of the most challenging yet rewarding careers anyone could pursue. Samantha Pasche makes the profession of being a teacher look fun and satisfying. Each year she creates a relaxing, respectful, and extremely engaging classroom," Olstad said.
Mrs. Pasche has many strengths as an educator, but one of her best strengths is her energetic, smiley, and happy personality. Many students have commented that Mrs. Pasche enjoys teaching English and always seems happy.
"Samantha has a unique personality that makes other people feel better and have a positive outlook on life by talking briefly with her at school," said Olstad. "As a principal, I try to start my day with a conversation with Samantha. We all need a little 'Samantha Pasche Time' each day to help us keep perspective on what is important in life and to be thankful for what we have been given."
Mr. Olstad recalled a quote from a Six-Year-Old Child that reminded him of Mrs. Pasche, "My teacher thought I was smarter than I was – so I was."
This quote is precisely what Mrs. Pasche can do with all her students, especially some of the boys that traditionally do not enjoy English class. She never gives up on her students; they genuinely believe they can perform at a higher level than they previously thought.
"She is, and will continue to be, a Life Changer to many students and families at Plainview-Elgin-Millville Community Schools!" Olstad said.
