Music that Describes Tori
Tori Snitker was nominated by an anonymous colleague.
"My LifeChanger, Dr. Tori Snitker, literally changed our lives (faculty, staff, and students) at Salem High School! Tori first came aboard as Assistant Principal in our school after six years of faculty, staff, and students enduring an extremely challenging work environment. Immediately, she saw and understood the environment and worked to make a change. Tori built strong positive relationships with everyone, and we immediately knew we could count on her. She treated us as professionals and showed extreme respect toward the students while holding them accountable for their actions.
The following school year, Tori was promoted to Principal and worked tirelessly to continue to build her team with new hires that exhibited positive attitudes and were team players while also being knowledgeable in their subject areas. She (and her new Assistant Principal) understood each student's background and life situation, which helped immensely with our school's discipline, atmosphere, and professionalism.
Tori is extremely intelligent, has excellent attention to detail, and has a type A personality that takes charge and moves mountains," said the colleague.
I work as a secretary for Dr.Snitker. I am 22 years old, so I am not very far removed from the public school scene. I can tell you that this is the kind of influence kids need. She cares so deeply not only about students education, but their well being. Mentally, physically, socially, and so much more. She is not afraid to do what is right, even if something stands in her way. I admire her bravery and spirit every day. When leading meetings, she brings a confidence and smile that you can’t help but follow. Every room is made bright, and every worry is at ease when she is involved. Being in the same generation as the students here, I know that she is exactly what students and teachers need. No one is more deserving and fitting of this award!
I was a student of Dr.Snitker when she was an algebra and geometry teacher in St. James, MO. Not only was she a wonderful teacher who explained things to each child individually adjusting to their learning style when needed, she was fun as well! Everyone remembers her performances from pep rallies! I wasn't the easiest kid and I'll admit a trouble maker at times but she never gave up on me and was always there to lend a listening ear, give advice and tell me what I needed to hear. There is nobody more deserving!
I have completed my Specialist and Doctoral degrees with Dr. Snitker. She is a true professional who does everything with integrity, compassion, and grace! She puts students first and loves her staff. She is amazing in all ways and so very deserving of this recognition!!

Tori knows exactly how to utilize her experienced staff, putting them in positions to mentor and lead the staff. She values her teachers and truly knows how to balance the needs of the staff with the needs of the students. She is one of the best administrators I have ever had the privilege of working with.
I had the privilege of working with Tori during the 22-23 school year. I would call her fearless because she is such a strong, but tender leader. She always spoke to everyone and she knew all the students names. She would greet us with a big smile no matter what kind of day she was having herself. She is an outstanding woman that well deserves this honor. She is a blessing in my life.

There couldn't be a better nominee in my opinion. I had the privilege to work with Dr. Snitker and it was a great atmosphere all around. The staff and students just loved her. We all miss her dearly.
Tori turned the morale around in our building with her wonderful personality and take charge attitude. She saw the need for encouragement and did just that. She checked on her staff daily and always had time to listen and encourage. We miss her dearly.
My high school experience was unique in the fact that my mother was not only my math teacher, but my dance team instructor as well.
It's easy to seem biased because of our relationship, but I got to witness firsthand the impact and attention she forged in a room. It was easy to see how much my peers loved and respected her, and it's only grown as her career has grown.
There is no one more deserving of this nomination.
Mrs. Snitker is an honest, dependable, loving, caring principal. Who treats each child equally. She doesn't believe in treating one better than the other. Although she is no longer in the Salem R80 School district, while she was here she was always very pleasant and understanding anytime I ever needed to talk to her. If there were more Mrs. Snitker's in this world I feel like the world would be a better place!
