Lauren Vani was nominated by a colleague, Patrice Foster.

"Livi became a first-year teacher during the 2022-23 school year," said Foster. "Her first month was hard, and she was about to quit, but she learned how to win the kids over by realizing that they aren't just her students, but her kids. She learned how to reach the kids and that they only needed her motivation. Her smile and will to want to teach each student led her to success. She learned their strengths and weaknesses and used that to teach every one of her students. She is now one of the sought-after teachers. I love working with her and how she teaches."

I was fortunate to have had Livi in my fourth grade classroom. She’s always been a cheerful, intelligent young lady! I now teach across the hall from her and have watched her bloom into an amazing teacher! She treats her students with respect and dignity daily. The teaching profession is lucky to have her on board!

Livi started in my building last year along with many other new teachers. She fit right in and while I know it was an eye opening experience for her she never gave up! I remember her being vulnerable (which is hard for brand new teachers/staff) and admitting this job is not easy! I admired that about her! I am so glad that she reached out for help and was willing to take it! We are a family in our school and she fit right in and continues to be a valued member to staff, students and families! This is a well deserved recognition!!! Keep being you! You have an amazing heart and are right where you should be!!

Ms. Vani is an incredible teacher, she had my daughter the first year teaching at Garfield elementary. She cared so much for her and taught her right where she was. Helped my daughter learn to love school. Thank you Ms. Vani for being you and being a super best teacher as Aves would say.

Lauren “Livi” Vani ~. Is a True Inspiration to Everyone All Around Her !! Her Kindness & Love for Teaching Over-Flows even Out of School !! When she expresses in conversations the Positive Achievements her students have made .. You can see and Feel the Dedication she has for Each and Everyone of her students ..!!
