LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Julie Williams was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

With her personal attention to every student and dedication to STEM and PBL education, Mrs. Williams changes lives on a daily basis.  Her classroom environment is one of fun and wonder. As a math teacher, students are actively engaged in exploring the concepts behind the math they are learning. She asks students to work together to create projects that apply math benchmarks, but allows students to see the value and real-world connections of what they are learning.  

"She continually searches out new training and methods to reach her students," the nominator said. "She builds a caring and nurturing relationship with each of her students and gives them something to look forward to each day."
