LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Falon Sullivan was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Ms. Sullivan is a LifeChanger for more reasons than one could ever count. She has devoted her life to bettering the lives of students and staff in multiple districts across Tennessee. She is constantly working on ways to reach her students, whether it be through a new song or story; she works hard to make her lessons relatable and easy to follow. Ms. Sullivan is also a sounding board for her co-workers, as they look to her for guidance for themselves and their students. She devotes time to building those relationships, fostering a commitment to really getting to know her students. At all times, her main focus is learning about her students' needs, past traumas, and life experiences and keeping up with their current ones.

Ms. Sullivan is also a highly regarded administrative team member at her elementary school. She is an integral part of the Whole Child team at her school, whose goal is to address the needs of the students from all angles. The team includes the administration, the School Nurse, instructional coaches, social workers, and others as needed. Ms. Sullivan is a leader in this group, one that others look to as a guide through significant events in the children's lives. 

Last school year, Ms. Sullivan organized a College and Career Week to help open the students' eyes to careers, colleges, and other paths for their future. She feels that giving the students the option now is a great way to get their wheels turning regarding their future. Over 40 speakers and 20 different mobile attendees came out and made this dream of a day come true.
