As principal, I am convinced that Mrs. Miller embodies an educator who exceeds their contracted hours, truly exemplifying what it means to be an extraordinary teacher," said Yuksekkaya.
"In my eight years working alongside Ariel, I have consistently been inspired by her work ethic and unwavering passion for education. She consistently demonstrates a dedication that extends far beyond the conventional expectations of a teacher. It is common to find Ariel in the classroom long before and after official school hours, providing additional guidance to struggling students, preparing engaging lesson plans, and creating an environment that fosters genuine learning and growth. What truly sets Mrs. Miller apart is her ability to connect with each student personally. She understands that education is not solely about conveying information but about nurturing young minds and instilling a lifelong love for learning. She invests an extraordinary amount of time in one-on-one interactions, mentorship, and counseling, ensuring every student feels valued and supported in their educational journey."
"Moreover, Ariel is a driving force behind many of our school's extracurricular initiatives," said Yuksekkaya. It is without hesitation that I recommend Ariel for this program. Her boundless energy, selfless dedication, and exceptional teaching abilities have left an indelible mark on students and colleagues. I believe that recognizing her extraordinary contributions would not only be a testament to her hard work but also inspire others in our school community."

I appreciate her boundless energy, selfless dedication, and remarkable teaching abilities. Her impact on our Coral Academy Centennial Hills community including the students and staff is immeasurable, and I am grateful for the inspiration she provides to our entire school community.
Mrs. Miller is my daughters first grade teacher this year. I have seen my daughter grow so much academically over these past few months. Mrs. Miller gives her all to her students and truly cares about their development. She does a fantastic job at involving the parents in classroom activities. Mrs. Miller wants to see her students succeed and we’re lucky to have her as a teacher this year.
I've had the privilege of working with Mrs. Miller since 2017. I had the opportunity to complete my student teaching in her classroom, and also work alongside her as a colleague in the same school. In the whole time I've known her, it's been clear to me that she is dedicated to her students as well as to school community. She is constantly putting in extra hours to make sure everything meets her high standards. She cares greatly about her students and her colleagues. It's not uncommon to see her performing service for those in the school community. Ariel is very deserving of this award.
Ariel Miller is one of the most dedicated and effective teachers I've had the privilege of observing in her classroom. I was so impressed with how warm and welcoming her classroom was. The way her class ran so seamlessly, it was evident she put quite some time and effort into preparing the room with her students' success and development in mind. As I watched her interacting with each of her students, I saw how she paid close attention to their questions and answered with such care and kindness. It is clear she loves what she does.
Having known Ariel for the last 14 years, I can say that two of her biggest qualities are her giving heart and how she takes pride in everything she does. She will always go above and beyond for anyone she comes in contact with, including her students, their parents, and her fellow colleagues.
Throughout the school day students from previous school years came to visit and get a hug from Mrs. Miller. Seeing that, I could tell that she is shaping lives, not just teaching lessons. Knowing her devotion to her students, and her love for her profession, there is no question she is deserving of this award!
I have had the privilege of being an observer in Mrs. Miller's classroom on several occasions. Each and every time, I have been impressed with the connection she has with each and every student in her classroom.
She has a way of exciting them with every subject she tackles. There is a feeling of comradery within the room that is very unique. They all work together as an inspired group of one.
I have also seen her in the hallways always being greeted by her students from years in the past. Of course, she remembers all of their names. They remain a part of her life.
At one point I saw her interacting with a student who was going through a very emotionally difficult family situation. Mrs. Miller handled the situation as the professional she is.
It is so wonderful when you witness a person absolutely enjoying the profession they have chosen. Not only is that person lucky, but also each and every student; teacher; as well as parent that she comes in contact with. I have seen the results of her influence on many members of the school community.
I believe that Mrs. Miller is well deserving of the award for which she has been nominated. #LCOY
I have known Ariel for several years and it always amazes me how much energy and enthusiasm she has as a teacher. She is always going above and beyond to make sure that her students are learning in a very creative, happy and safe environment. Ariel is very creative, organized, energetic and dedicated to what she does. She has been instumental is helping raise money for the school to purchase items that will help the students in their learning process. Ariel spends much time making her classroom inviting for the students, their parents and her collegues. She dresses up, along with her students, for Halloween, the 100th day of school, etc., and the children enjoy this. I was a librarian, and although I did not work with Ariel, I did have the opportunity to talk with her about books and projects she shared with her students. Ariel has planned special field trips and has others come into the school to teach her students about various subjects. I believe that Ariel is extremely worthy of this award.
It is with great pride and love that I share this well deserved tribute to Ariel. As her father in law, I can attest to the many comments submitted. I can affirm the positive, selfless dedication, Ariel exhibits each and every day to her students and school community. She has demonstrated by her acts and deeds what it means to be a model teacher, a mentor and team player. Her students, parents and colleagues have benefited in many ways because of her strong commitment to quality education while constructing a positive learning environment.
Ariel Miller is an extremely dedicated teacher who gives her students everything she’s got. She builds relationships with her “kids” beyond the classroom. She has been invited to their sporting events, birthdays and performances which she gladly attended on her own time.
Additionally, the hours she puts in beyond the school hours are tremendous. She feels a great responsibility to the profession and tries to bring knowledge back to her colleagues often. People and students who have had Ariel as a colleague or teacher at their school can call themselves fortunate due the expertise she brings. I am just fortunate to call her my wife.
Mrs. Miller was my daughter’s 1st grade teacher four years ago. We still keep in touch with her. She stayed after school several times to help my daughter catch up with assignments, and to talk her through the separation anxiety she felt in the mornings. She treated each child equally, and with so much care.
We can count on Mrs. Miller for anything. She deserves recognition for her years of hard work.
Ariel Miller is one of the best 1st grade teachers I have ever met. She taught my son in 2007-2008 her passion for teaching is overwhelming, she is very organized and has great ideas on teaching the kids no matter what the curriculum. She puts in many hours and it shows. I think she should get this award because she is one of the hardest working teachers I have ever met.
Mrs. Miller was one of the best teachers I had. She made learning fun and exciting for us. She was also very kind and thoughtful. I still remember the fun activities that we did in her class that made us like the class even more! She was dedicated to make us learn but also make us enjoy it. She deserves this award!
Ms. Miller was my son's classroom teacher. She is a disciplined teacher who is liked by her students. What I appreciated most was her respect for all students' ethnic origins and religions. She is a teacher who loves research and makes children love her lessons with original materials in the classroom. She respects the beliefs of her students from different cultures and tries to get to know them closely. She is selfless not only towards her students but also towards her colleagues. I'm very happy to have met her.

Ariel is a hard worker, great teacher and awesome person. I had the opportunity to work with her at CNT, Las Vegas. She is very caring and always gives her best. Congrats and good luck!
Mrs. Miller is the best teacher that we have ever had the pleasure of having! Our first grader excelled so much due to her guidance and compassion. And it wasn't just our child! She took every student's education very seriously and worked with each one tirelessly to ensure they did the best they possibly could. She cares deeply about the school and each student in it. I hope from the bottom of my heart that our youngest will have the joy of being in her class when he is ready. She is the brightest star at the school!
Mrs Miller is a wonderful teacher. We were so lucky to have Mrs Miller as my daughter’s 1st and 2nd grade teacher. My daughter truly loved being in her class. Mrs Miller always motivates her students. Congratulations for the nomination!
Ariel is an extremely hardworking, dedicated teacher. She spends countless hours outside of contracted work hours to ensure that her students get what they need to succeed. Ariel is deeply invested in education and gives her all every step of the way. She is extremely deserving of such a prestigious award!!
I had Mrs. Miller in 2017 and even though I moved away she was my most memorable teacher. I remember that she really hated blood, but I also remember that she was such a fun teacher. I could t have asked for a better first grade teacher!
Mrs. Miller is a life and a game changer!!! She has instilled discipline and quality in her student’s work. She gave it full attention and made sure she addressed any and every concern, but most of all, in the midst of a hectic school year, she took the time to console and support my daughter who was up for the challenge in her class but cried all year long and so we’re fortunate to have Mrs. Miller’s support and ever lasting patience. She’s strict but has a big big heart! I love your style!!! Congratulations!!!
Mrs. Miller is a teacher that defines the word teacher in itself. Her compassion for the craft of teaching goes beyond the duties of the job and it shows in her work. She displays discipline with her students while incorporating fun into each activity. My child always came home. Excited about what new topics she learned. My wife and I volunteered many times for school events and was in awe on the things the kids learned at their age. I feel that she said the standard so high that other teachers may have a lot of work to do to keep up.
Ariel is a wonderful educator, and our students have been lucky enough to have her teach religious school for many years. She is impressive, dedicated, organized, and thoughtful when working with our students. I wish we still had her in our school, because the students and teachers, alike, benefitted from her expertise. Mazal tov, Ariel!
In the early 2000s I was the assistant principal at PS101 in Forest Hills Queens. I supervised Ariel during this time. She always displayed a very positive attitude. She was a very dedicated teacher who loved her students and was a team player. I wish her luck in this nomination for LifeChanger of the Year.
I gotta know Ariel briefly while I was working at CASLV. I have never come across such a dedicated teacher to her students. She was always on the lookout for more exciting, fun, and challenging materials in her classroom. She always managed to be an OG in everything she does. I no longer work with Coral but I can see that Ariel kept impacting lives of not only her students but all around her. Ariel is a LifeChanger! Congratulations Ariel!
Mrs. Ariel Miller is such a genuine and authentic epitome of what a compassionate, resilient, devoted, and hardworking teacher truly is! Throughout her extensive and experienced teaching career thus far, Mrs. Ariel Miller has demonstrated an abundance of enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment towards all of her students whom she has taught and mentored. Moreover, she has always worked so hard to encourage and inspire a strong and earnest joy of learning and zealous quest for knowledge to all of her students every school year! Not only has Mrs. Ariel Miller been such an amazing inspiration and positive and influential role model to so many of her students during her years as a teacher, she also has been a supportive and valuable mentor, as well as a motivating and encouraging leader to her fellow teachers, colleagues, comrades, and educational peers. Furthermore, Mrs. Ariel Miller has made such an auspicious and optimistically significant impact in the lives of so many of her former students and their families, and we know that she will continue to enrich, enhance, and elevate the lives of her current and future students and their families! --- Abby, Eugene, and Maya Zeldin
I am not in the least surprised that Ariel has been nominated for this auspicious award. Although I have not worked with Ariel in a secular school setting, I have worked with her for several years at Sunday school. Ariel’s commitment to educating students regardless of venue is impressive. The effort she puts out always goes well beyond expected to, in the words of a kindergarten parent last year, “the next level.” In all aspects, she demonstrates that she is knowledgeable about the subject, organized, thorough, creative, and she is able to convey the curriculum enabling students to learn well beyond requirements and expectations.
We are blessed to have had Mrs. Miller as my daughter’s First Grade teacher last year. As a parent, I am very grateful for the genuine care she gave to my daughter and her patience and dedication to her whole class that I got to witness the whole school year. I could have not asked for a better teacher to share my daughter with while she is at school. Not only does she dedicate her time to ensuring her class always had the best time but she also cares for the whole school and was constantly finding ways to improve the students learning. My daughter describes her as nice and fun, and First Grade was memorable because of Mrs. Miller.
Winning the LifeChanger of the Year is the best way to recognize the kind of work she does for our community, she goes above beyond of what is expected of her and she is truly a hero who deserves this honor. #LCOY
I have been working with Ariel for over 6 years and in that time I have seen what her students education means to her. She is an educator that takes her job very seriously. She works long hours and does so effectively. She cares for a those she works with as well and holds not only her students but herself to high standards. I have appreciated seeing her example and it has made me want to be a better educator as well.
Ariel Miller is an excellent teacher who cares about her students . I have worked with Ariel and know she carefully plans out her lessons for her students. She’s creative and keeps her students motivated to learn .
I have worked with Ariel Miller for over 10 years. She is one of the most dedicated teachers I have ever worked with. Her focus is developing well rounded students who will grow up ready for the real world. She has so much energy no matter what is happening in her life. Her students are lucky to have her.
Mrs. Miller was an integral component to our daughter’s early education. She saw strengths in our daughter and built upon them, giving her confidence and fortitude to continue on when things got challenging. Mrs. Miller is gifted at challenging young minds, setting the bar high, and helping them reach it. Mrs. Miller is creative, passionate and gifted at her profession. I would have loved to have had her for every year of my daughter’s primary education!!
My son had Mrs. Miller last year for advanced 1st grade. To say he progressed is an understatement. Mrs. Miller's classroom was pivotal in his growth. I deeply admire and respect the fact that parental involvement was always encouraged and appreciated. Thank you Mrs. Miller for providing a safe, challenging and rewarding experience for your students. We love you !
Ariel Miller is a great person who helped me 19 years ago to become a teacher. She was so thoughtful that she mentored me, my first year at Jacobson E.S. She will always have a big place in my life.
Mrs. Miller was such an incredible person and educator. Her style and passion reminded me of my mother's, who was a 3rd grade teacher in Nevada for over 30 years. It's a style that gets kids excited to learn, it earns respect from students, and it's an effective method to get them to understand the material. Mrs. Miller has such an impressive grasp on HOW to get these kids to understand. I wish Nevada had a thousand more teachers just like her. As a parent, I love that she was always available to answer any questions we had and update us on our son's progress. I whole heartedly believe Mrs. Miller should receive the #LCOY award and hope that others can see what so many of us parents saw.
I have never met a more dedicated teacher than Mrs. Miller. She doesn't only teach, she makes sure the students understands what they are learning to the point that they can teach it to someone else. She was always available to speak with me as a parent when I had a question or concern. She puts passion into her teaching and walks into class everyday with a huge smile on her face because she loves what she does. No one deserves this award more than Mrs. Miller!
Mrs. Miller is an incredible teacher. My son had him for 1st grade last year and he has improved with his class work and was able to achieve his math and language arts goal with the help and support of Mrs. Miller. Our family also experienced a period of family loss and she was there to help my son during class and provided feedback when she noticed something during school. My son loved her class so much that he volunteered and asked to go to tutoring and even signed up for her after school club (last year and this year). She welcomed parents’ help with class and school activities, kept us informed and always had her door open to talk. Congratulations Mrs. Miller on the nomination. You’re a winner in our eyes.
I am a retired teacher with 44 years of classroom experience and held National Board Certification for 20 of those years. Ariel is the kind of teacher that I would have wanted my own children or grandchildren to have had. Her dedication to the teaching profession is second to none. She is more than deserving of this prestigious award.
Both of my kids were in Mrs. Miller's class for first grade at Coral. She is an exceptional teacher. My son's experience was during COVID when we all went remote unexpectedly. Mrs. Miller adjusted quickly and created an engaging and interactive environment for the children, and provided clear communication for parents. She was truly amazing! She appreciated all the efforts of volunteers, myself included, and encouraged me to join the PTO. She is one of the most dedicated and effective teachers I've encountered and I feel very fortunate that both my kids had the opportunity to be in her class. #LCOY
Mrs.Miller has had a major impact on the learning and growth for my two school aged children. She has helped foster their love to learn and provided them an above par foundation for their education. Not only has she supported their love for learning she has helped them learn personal responsibility, accountability, and life long skills. I wish we could have Mrs.Miller to teach our children in each consecutive school year. I can’t wait for my third child to foster his love for learning with her as his teacher as well.
Mrs.Miller goes above and beyond and deserving of the credit for her time and service to each and every student.
Congratulations! You deserve it. We are very fortunate to have our kid in your class. Thank you
Ariel is an amazing educator who is dedicated to her students and the staff that works with her! Privileged to have worked with her!
Mrs. Miller’s ability to connect with her students created a supportive and nurturing learning environment for my children. She would go above and beyond for them. She made learning fun and exciting. The kids looked forward to what the next lesson would be. Mrs. Miller stands out as an exemplify teacher. It was bittersweet to move on from her class, as we know not all teachers embody or carry the passion of teaching children. Teaching is truly Mrs. Miller’s passion and it showed in every way. She deserves every award that there is for teachers. She is the epitome of what an outstanding teacher is. Not only does she teach her students but she allows parents to participate in all activities in school. She promotes parent participation, motivating parents to be more involved. She’s a phenomenal teacher. We need more like her.
Mrs. Miller was my son's 1st grade teacher in 2020-2021. Our school year was entirely on Zoom. Mrs.Miller worked tirelessly teaching her class on Zoom and made it fun despite the challenges of keeping a class full of 6 year olds focused on Zoom. I fully believe all of her hard work and dedication to her class is one of the reasons my son had a successful year of distance learning. I feel that he had the best experience and learned so much despite not being in class. I wish he could have had the entire year in person with Mrs. Miller, I have no doubt it would have challenged him even more. I highly respect her level of teaching and the quality of work she expects from her students. She challenges them, even at 6 years old to be the best versions of themselves. She even taught me so much while observing her Zoom lessons. Mrs. Miller made me a better mother and educator to my child as well.
We will always have a special place in our hearts for Mrs.Miller, she is what all teachers should strive to be. Kind, compassionate, challenging, and pure excellence! We are blessed that our son was able to have her in his life.
Ariel is the reason I made it through my first year of teaching. She was an amazing mentor and always inspired me to keep reaching for the stars! #LCOY
Ariel and I worked together for three years at Coral Academy of Science Centinnial Hills Las Vegas, Nevada. I was teaching Kindergarten and she was teaching first grade. Our classes were “reading buddies” every year. Our second year was very special because we both taught and advanced level. This means the exact same
Class I had in kindergarten were in her first grade. As a teacher it is beyond words to describe the joy you get when all your past students are United. She was a mentor to me as well as someone I was thrilled to pass on one of my favorite classes ever too. I knew that she would challenge them and love them my like her own. I will never forget that class or my friendship with Ariel.
She was an amazing teacher for our daughter. Our daughter wants to be an author thanks to Ms. Miller's teaching skills. She has been working on a book that she plans on dedicating to Ms. Miller once it's finished. She truly inspired her.
