Music that Describes Joel

Joel Lopez was nominated by a colleague, Evangelina Ramos.

"Joel is a LifeChanger because he goes above and beyond his work duties for students and staff here at Franklin High," said Ramos. "As Plant Supervisor, Joel is always making sure that our campus is clean and safe for all students and staff here at Franklin. During the fall sports season, which includes football and now flag football, Joel goes back and forth to ensure the field is ready and equipped with all necessary supplies. During games that go way into the late evenings, Joel is still on campus walking the football field and checking the boys' and girls' restrooms to ensure that trash is picked up and restrooms are equipped with paper towels and toilet paper."

"It is important to note that Joel starts his day at 6:00 am, and the football games run well into the evening past 9:00 pm and sometimes even later. As Plant Supervisor, Joel is a leader and a team player. During the day, he is called to various classes, and then there is this mess and that mess, but also he is needed here and there," said Ramos. "Joel is polite, respectful, hardworking, dedicated, professional, and always willing to lend a helping hand to all students and staff here at Franklin. Joel has the work ethic that demonstrates his leadership, and that makes him a LifeChanger."

From his friendly demeanor, to his bright smile and work ethic, Joel has left his mark on Franklin High School in meaningful ways, most of which go unseen by our student body, but are greatly appreciated by the faculty and staff. Happy for your well earned recognition Joel!

The facilities here at Franklin are usually very clean. If not, they are taken care of in a timely manner. I have been to other sites where the restrooms were... not so clean. Good job, Mr. Lopez!

Joel is a Franklin High School Community guy. He interacts equally well with whomever I have seen him with; staff, faculty, students, admin, and parents. He gives away his smiles freely to everybody. His attitude also carries on throughout his team, all of whom get the work done, but always seem to have time to hear what the new need is. Joel makes a difference to our community. When I ask him how he is doing, he almost always answers, "Good! Good!" That is also how I feel about his nomination. Good! Good!

Joel is so prompt and understanding of what the school needs and why it needs it. Always a pleasure seeing him and getting input on events and such when the food service portion is involved. I also had the honor of serving his son here while he was a student and now that I have children on campus I can completely relate to the role of parenting from afar at work and up close after your shift is done. Keep pushing sir,
