Ms.Wolf has been more then great to everyone at her school she allows us to feel comfortable around her and open up to her without any judgment she helps us every day from major things to little things including problems at home a loss in the family or school she always there for us
I had the honor to have Mrs. Wolf as my teacher in middle school. Mrs Wolfe, also was a counselor, mother figure, and someone with a shoulder you could cry on. Mrs. Wolfe got to know my mother well. In the summer of 1996 my mother died in a car accident. I went to Mrs. Wolfes house and told her. She sat with me on her front porch and, I cried on her shoulder while she held me. Mrs. Wolfe cares for her students as though they were her own children. She has helped me grow into the man, husband and father I am today.
LifeChanger of the Year! How apropos to describe Genia Wolfe. I have had the pleasure of working with this true woman of faith for the past couple of years at Central Technical Training Academy, and have been consistently impressed with her diligence, efficiency, and ability to get things done.
She flat-out loves being a Counselor, and LOVES our kiddos as if they are her own. She listens to the students and never sugarcoats her answers. I love it when she says to a student, “Do you really want to know what I think?” If that kid was not living up to their potential, they better, brace themselves for the answer because she was going to give it to them, with love, always with love.
So, Geina Wolfe, LifeChanger! Yes! Yes! Yes!
I wholeheartedly agree with this nomination. I've had the pleasure with knowing and working with Genia Wolfe for like fifteen years. As long as I've known her, she pours her heart and soul into bettering the lives of all of her students. She cares so deeply about all students and is a huge advocate for all of them. When she left our middle school to move to a high school, I saw how much she meant to her students by the way they showered her with love, cards, gifts and such for a 'farewell' party. She is honest and straight forward with both students and parents, but does so in such a loving manner that everybody knows she cares immensely (and that it's not just her job). She's one of the most passionate AND compassionate counselors I know and I am honored to be considered her friend!
When I first arrived from Alaska to work at Del Webb I met Mrs. Wolfe and she immediately made me feel at home. She consistently encouraged me and supported me as I learned the ropes to becoming a supportive and nurturing special education teacher here at Del Webb. I was able to see her mentor our students in a supportive yet real way where students were both encouraged and challenged. She supported all students at Del Webb, not just those she was assigned to, she worked in classrooms assisting both teachers and students, and was always quick to laugh and engage students as they transitioned to their classes. She was upfront when she needed to be, with both students and parents, and researched resources when parents were downtrodden and overwhelmed. She's the whole package: counselor, nurse, teacher, jester, disciplinarian, and friend. She changed my life and helped me become a better teacher and mentor to my students, and I know she changed hundreds to students and parent lives with her outgoing and loving personality. We truly miss her at Del Webb, but she needed to go out and transform others' lives, and she's doing an amazing job!
Ms. Genia has been the most amazing counselor I have ever met. She has cared like no other, she is always making sure that you are doing well in school, if you need any help. If you need someone to talk to Ms. Genia is someone you can go to and talk to when needed. I have not seen any other counselor like Ms. Genia, a genuinely caring person and she will always be happy for how far you have gone, for anything you have accomplished. I really appreciate all she has done for me and the other students. Thank you for being the best counselor.
"Life Changer" is the perfect description for Genia Wolfe! She is a beacon of compassion and exceptional service. I am delighted to have the opportunity to share my opinion of this bold and sassy lady. My first encounter with her was as a fellow school counselor, when she was coaching me up on the new position I was about to undertake. She took the time to inform me about the students I'd be working with, which came from a place of genuine concern and care for the students she was leaving behind. From the moment you meet Genia, it is evident that her approach to counseling goes far beyond the norm. Her ability to connect with students on a personal level is unparalleled, creating an environment where students feel understood, valued, and supported. She fearlessly tackles the tough issues, providing guidance with a perfect blend of toughness and empathy. She is not afraid to be a strong advocate for her students, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met. My life is richer with her in it!
Ms. Genia Wolfe has made a profound impact on the lives of so many students during her career in education. Whether providing clothing for a homeless student or lending her support for children with mental health concerns, Ms. Wolfe consistently goes above and beyond to meet the needs of students she serves. Her compassionate nature and willingness to actively listen are gifts that she brings to her position as a guidance counselor. Ms. Wolfe has a knack for building rapport with parents and families in an effort to build support for students in times of crisis. She also establishes positive working relationships with staff and administration, making her a joy to work with. We are better people having known and worked with Genia Wolfe!
I really appreciate Mrs. Wolfe and what she has done for Central Tech. I also appreciate what she has done to help me graduate with the CCR diploma and how she has helped me work on making sure my grades are what they need to be and getting my GPA up to what I need.
Genia works tirelessly for our students. She has the most admirable balance of tough love and empathy for each student and their story. She's fearless in her efforts to see every student succeed, even if that means scheduling back to back conferences, making multiple phone calls, or even researching career opportunities for curious students. She's the first to celebrate students' successes, no matter how big or small. She's extremely deserving of this recognition. Me, my students, and my school are all the better because of her work there.
