Music that Describes Miriam
Miriam Rojo was nominated by a colleague, Priscilla Cordova.
"Ms. Miriam Rojo is a very dedicated, loyal, and valued employee of Pojoaque Valley Middle School," said Cordova. "She has an outstanding work ethic. She will be one of the first people on campus to ensure everything is safe and clean for staff and students when they arrive. You can see her in the school hallways wiping, disinfecting, and spreading her beautiful smile to everyone who enters our school. On days when we experience inclement weather, she is here even earlier than normal to clear the sidewalks of ice and snow."
"She responds to all calls on the radio when anything is needed in all areas of campus, even if she is not assigned to that area. She always has a smile on her face for everyone who enters our doors," said Cordova. "She loves to celebrate students and staff. Ms. Rojo is the first to come forward when a celebration is evident. She starts the planning and carries out the event until it's concluded. She will make, from her own pocket, party favors, desserts, and anything that will make the event even more special."
"She is a gem and has been with our district for over 20 years," said Cordova. "We are so fortunate to have her on our campus. She is a true leader, one who can be counted on to be here, come rain or shine. If all employees had a fraction of her goodness, this would be a wonderful world. It gives me great pleasure to nominate Ms. Rojo."
