LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Trista Herald was nominated by a friend, Tara Hecktor.

"Trista and I started working on the same team in 2016 when we were hired to teach kindergarten. I have learned so much from Trista, as she possesses many of a teacher's amazing qualities. While working with Trista, I have always looked up to her as a role model, as she follows the path I hope to follow in the future. Trista has been a teacher, a Dean of Students, and now an Assistant Principal at another school in our district," said Hecktor.

"Trista works extremely hard daily to help and nurture the students she works with. She is enthusiastic about her job and always goes the extra mile for all her students and staff. Trista actively searches for ways to improve and seeks feedback from others. She is a true example of an amazing leader and educator," said Hecktor.

"The way that she interacts with students is truly an amazing experience. Trista is calm and caring and takes the time with each student to ensure they are adequately equipped to succeed in and outside the classroom. She has been a great professional role model for me. She has also been a wonderful friend, and I am lucky to have gotten to work with her and become such great friends. Trista is a LifeChanger and would be an amazing person to represent this award," said Hecktor.
