Ronna Saulsgiver was nominated by a colleague, Manuel Cortez.

"Ronna has been a second-grade teacher for two years but has been involved in our school for quite a few years. She has endured the pain of losing a parent and still can provide a supportive and loving environment each day in her classroom. A sense of belonging and love is surely present in her classroom," said Cortez.

"Ronna always makes her students her number one priority and wants to see them grow. She is a teacher who feels like a family member. Ronna has a podcast about helping first-year teachers overcome the struggles and challenges of their new careers. As a colleague, Ronna lights up the room with her warm laugh and personality. She always has the go-get-it attitude. Ronna dedicates so much time to her students and career that often, she forgets how valued she is. Ronna is a great asset to our school! No one deserves this more than Mrs. Saulsgiver! Her love and positive impact will leave a mark on every person, every student, and every school she will be at," said Cortez.
