"Sam is dedicated, motivated, and cheerful. She frequently goes above and beyond to ensure that students get what they need to succeed, whether it's by providing them a snack, a shoulder to cry on, or even a motivational talk. I know that when I joined the East Mills School District, Sam was one of the first teachers to go out of her way to touch base with me, and it wasn't a one-time thing. She repeatedly checked in with me. Sam listened as I tried to problem solve, offered suggestions, and even came and observed to support me better. I also know she does the same thing for students. Sam listens to them, offers help or suggestions, celebrates their successes, and encourages them through their struggles. Even when Sam is super busy, she keeps stepping up to the plate; she is on several learning committees at school and in the community. Sam is frequently the most needed teacher. When she is absent, she writes detailed plans that seem unending, trying to portray all the details required to help with her students and other duties," said Reynolds.
