"Over her remarkable 20+ tenure at David Cox Elementary (DMC), Mrs. Cole has consistently demonstrated a proven ability to make a beneficial difference in students' lives. Her love for her students is endless, and her dedication to instilling a love of learning in them is unparalleled. Mrs. Cole goes above and beyond, creating a positive school atmosphere that is both welcoming and inclusive. Through her leadership in the social committee, she tirelessly works to boost morale, ensuring that DMC feels like a family where all stakeholders feel appreciated," said Heinlen.

"Mrs. Cole's commitment to producing a nurturing atmosphere extends beyond the classroom. She actively seeks opportunities to contribute to the school community, from planning and executing events like dances for teacher participation in the Talent Show to transforming the lunchroom into a lively and enjoyable space by turning it into a dance party and wearing roller skates. Mrs. Cole showcases her dedication to fostering a positive environment through creative initiatives, such as organizing fun activities and painting the front doors with a welcoming message," said Heinlen.

"As a leader within our school, Mrs. Cole has excelled professionally, taking on roles such as mentoring new teachers, managing the school website, and spearheading fundraising efforts for student activities. Her extensive involvement highlights her exceptional leadership skills that motivate others, from planning parties to creating balloon arches to making learning fun for kids by dressing up," said Heinlen. 

"Mrs. Cole's contributions go beyond the classroom. She actively engages in fundraising activities to support students' participation in Astro Camp and ensures students' safety by seeking donations for flooring for our Gaga Ball pit. Her tireless efforts to spark joy, reduce stress levels, and retain teachers in an era of burnout make her a beacon of inspiration in education," said Heinlen.

"Besides her professional achievements, Mrs. Cole adheres to high moral and ethical standards, setting a positive example for colleagues and students. Her passion for education, creativity, and unwavering commitment make her an exemplary candidate. I wholeheartedly nominate Mrs. Cole for this prestigious award, and I am more than confident that her exceptional contributions to education make her a standout candidate," said Heinlen.
