Heather is truly someone who makes a difference. My children and nieces were lucky enough to have Heather as a teacher. To this day they all exclaim that Heather is their favorite human and are fortunate to have had her as a teacher in HS. Very few students remember their teachers (unless they were crummy) to have 4 of 4 cousins agree is remarkable. Heather Mastin is a life changer 100%

I mean class was great but I'm still jamming Flight of the Conchords nearly twenty years later so I gotta say that her turning me on to them was a big contribution to my life.

Ms. Martin was a teacher that helped me with my ELA when I was struggling in school. She was the first teacher that I felt comfortable to know that I was having a baby in hs, she made me feel so loved, so cared for. She will do absolutely anything to see every child succeed and smile. There is not a teacher as great as ms. Martin, she deserves this award more than anyone.

Mrs. Mastin is a dynamic and caring teacher and drama coach. She invests in her students’ personal growth and leadership development. Her positive outlook and sense of humor create an environment where students feel safe, valued, and free to learn and be themselves.

Ms.Mastin always made learning not only fun but understandable. Going above and beyond what is expected of a teacher is just what she embodies. It’s almost been 20 years since I was a student in her class and yet to this day I can say she absolutely made a lasting impression. You deserve all the greatest things, I hope this is but a glimpse of you being paid tenfold all the goodness and love you gave each and every one of your students.

I graduated high school about a decade or so ago. I was blessed to have Ms. Mastin as on of my teachers. Her commitment, compassion, and empathy for her students is the kind of positivity that sticks with a person for decades. Teachers like this help struggling students gain the confidence to strive for greatness regardless of the adversity, and obstacles they face. I’m not sure high school is easy for anyone but teachers like Ms. Mastin make not only getting through bearable but highlights your strength’s that help lay the foundation of success after you graduate. Her classroom was a safe place, and she was approachable when you had a question. We definitely need more teachers like Ms. Mastin.

I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Martin for three years. She was a positive force in our high school. Her love for her students and passion for her subject was evident. She jumped in to help staff without being asked. She went the extra mile to help students who needed it the most.
