Linda Knox was nominated by Billy Thompson, a member of the community. 

Ms. Knox is nurturing and committed, and she operates with professional excellence. She has been a professional educator for 26+ years in the Philadelphia School District. She has proven her level of commitment to the students and the District by working tirelessly. She is a nurturing presence in the community within urban Philadelphia. Many times, she has stepped in to help marginalized students who needed extra support.

Ms. Knox has a passion for assisting with the Truancy program that fights to keep scholars enrolled and attending their school. The students at Cooke Elementary School respect and love her for being someone who genuinely cares for them.
