Pam Joynt was nominated by her colleague, Jo Lynn Schultz.
Ms. Joynt has been an educator for 35+ years. She has been an inspiration and role model for her students. When she was an elementary school teacher, she was also raising two beautiful young ladies by herself.
"Pam has always given 100% of herself and her positive attitude to each student," said Schultz. "It has been a pleasure to watch her students come back to her, tell her how much they loved her and thank her for the performance in the classroom."
Ms. Joynt is currently a guidance counselor in the same school where she taught elementary students. The school is a K-12 school in a small rural community in Tennessee. Her role is to develop and guide the high school students on a path for success in college, tech school or in the work force.
"I have witnessed her nurturing the students and teachers when frustration sets in. She works hard to educate the parents for the next step in their child's career," said Schultz. "She has continually exhibited high morals and ethics in her job. Pam has received many awards during her career and is probably one of the sweetest, most humble individual you could ever meet. She wears many hats in this small school, and makes a difference each day for a student or faculty member."
