Ms. Hernandez is very passionate about students' social and emotional learning. She believes in creating a safe space where students know it’s OK to make mistakes. Ms. Hernandez has experienced more students diagnosed with depression and/or anxiety throughout the last three years. While making learning engaging has always been a focus of hers, she tries even harder to connect to her students through their learning.
Diane is a true game changer! The difference she makes in her students' lives is unmeasurable.
Mrs. H was my 6th grade teacher and now 14 years later I’m still calling her one of my favorite teachers! She is the most caring, thoughtful and down to earth human being you’ll ever meet. She’s always put her students first in every way! I appreciate your sacrifices Mrs. H! I cannot begin to describe the profound impact Mrs. Hernandez has had on my life, both academically and personally, since seventh grade. When I first met her, I struggled with public speaking and writing essays, both of which I disliked. However, Mrs. Hernandez not only made writing enjoyable but also sparked a love for it in me. Her approach to teaching—making learning both fun and informative built my confidence in presenting. Thanks to her guidance, I've been able to speak on stage in front of hundreds of community members, an opportunity I would have never pursued without her influence. Mrs. Hernandez is truly a life-changer, and I cannot imagine where I would be without her support
Diane Hernandez was genuinely and kind patient with me while I was student teaching in her sixth grade classroom back in 2016. Her classroom is a great place to be for all students!
Diane Hernandez is truly a gifted educator. She is not only patient and relatable, but she is driven by a desire to meet every student’s needs. She gets to know her students on a level I have never witnessed before. She knows their skills, their interests, and their needs. She makes a profound and lasting impact each and everyday! The world needs more teachers like Mrs. Hernandez!
Diane Hernandez isn't just a great teacher. She's an awesome mom, wife, colleague, friend, auntie, etc. A better way to say it is, Diane Hernandez is an all around amazing human being. She's not afraid to be open, honest, transparent, and vulnerable. She knows how to be real, have and show real feelings, and genuinely lives life in a way that frees us all to do the same. Her students live, admire, and respect her and they can tell she genuinely cares for them. It is an honor and a privilege to have her as a colleague and a friend. She's an inspiration.
As a volunteer at Global Academy of Phoenix I was very impressed by the respect, patience, kindness and caring Mrs. Hernandez's students showed while working on a project with the kindergarteners. It's very apparent that she nurtures those qualities in her students.
Where do I even begin, Mrs.Hernandez has always been about putting her students first in every aspect and she has the most beautiful soul! When you have a teacher not just like her but one who cares for every one of her students and makes them feel special, that’s when you know you have hit gold!! When you send your child to school you hope and pray that their teacher cares for your child as much as you do!! Knowing that my son always had her to be able to lean on her and be open with her, I was relieved! Not only is she passionate about what she does but she loves each and every student, past, present and future! I can’t wait for my other boys to have her in the years to come! Diane Hernandez is truly an amazing and beautiful soul. I only wish I had met her sooner. Although I have known her for 3 years, she has shown me what a remarkable person she is during this time. She is always willing to help others and has a warm heart that brings so much happiness to her students, colleagues, and parents alike. ??
I admire her not just for being a great teacher but for being an incredible human being, a devoted mother, and a loving wife. She is the perfect role model and inspires me with her spirituality and compassion. I have seen her carry the burdens of her students, and I’ve even witnessed tears rolling down her cheeks because of how much she cares for them and her desire to help them succeed academically and in life.
I’m incredibly grateful to have Diane as a friend, and I sincerely hope that she will be my son's teacher when he reaches 7th grade.
Mrs.hernandez has been the best teacher I’ve had, i looked at her like a mom, she had always been there for me and always made sure to give me advice to get a good student. I am now a senior and i will soon go into radiology. Mrs. Hernandez always taught me to have a kind heart and to always make sure to give to others. Thank you Mrs.Hernandez, we love you!

Mrs Hernandez is an incredible teacher. She goes above and beyond to build meaningful relationships with her students. Many students return to her school to let her know about their lives. She creates fantastic lessons which have helped my child enjoy reading books again. She has instilled confidence in my child and I’m grateful for her heartfelt connections with the students.
