Tayller Hutchinson feels as though she is passionate about many different causes, but the ones that mean the most to her are all centered around children and education. First, she will strive every day, no matter what, to make sure every child feels loved and cared about every day they walk through her door. In 2020, Hutchinson decided she wanted to ask friends and family for help getting a board game, novel, art supply kit, or card game activity for each of her students. She did this to make sure each kid felt the magic of Christmas (they all celebrated the holiday) by having at least one gift to open that year. It made her heart happy to provide this to them, so she has continued it each year. This year will be Hutchinson's 5th year, and she hopes to do it for her entire career.
Secondly, she is passionate about making learning math fun! She has seen that if you ask kids what class they dislike, many will say math. Hutchinson knows that math is so important, as it is used every single day for the rest of our lives. She feels that for many people, middle school math is what they use most as adults (others, depending on their career path, will use other math skills). Hutchinson is very passionate about getting her students to see the real-life application of what they are learning and have fun doing it.
Lastly, another thing she is very passionate about is introducing life skills that will benefit her students. Hutchinson focuses on life skills that are simple but essential, such as signing their name, filling out a check, covering their sneezes (especially with their elbow and not their hands), and responding to (or at least acknowledging) someone when you walk into a room or pass them in the hallway. These are quick tasks she likes to cover at least once a week throughout the year.
Hutchinson also feels passionately about helping children find books that they are interested in for personal enjoyment, not for a report, and not because they "have to", but because they want to. So, she is always on the hunt for good recommendations and new books to display, even in her math classroom.

She hosted the Thanksgiving feast for our grade, she is currently doing a Christmas countdown where we get a piece of candy every day. She is also really funny and lets us play a game for review rather than paper assignments!
You are a nice teacher. you let us have a feast on thanksgiving. For Christmas you are doing a 12 days Christmas thing where our tell a Christmas joke then after we get candy.
Mrs Hutchinson is one of best teachers I have had. She is a super fun teacher to have and I cant wait to see what awaits while this year goes on. she is full of good surprises every day.she is so fun and a great person to talk to when you need it. Mrs. Hutchinson is such a great teacher. She is really funny and she is good at teaching math. She buys us Christmas gifts and has the joke of the day during Christmas. She had a very filling thanksgiving for our tummies in class and she LOVES all of us. Mrs. Hutchinson is probably the best math teacher I have had because she has gave me so many changes and gives us stuff and she spends a LOT of money on people and is so caring and loving and cares for other people. I feel like you are just a really amazing teacher! You have helped me with a lot of things in the past, like if I don't get something done you will let us finish it. You keep reminding me that I need to try my best! I remember how I would write on my tests like I'm not that good you always remind me to keep trying and I'll get better and I love that about you!! I also love how you do fun activities with us in class including the fun jokes we get in the morning and the treats we get with them I think it just makes some people happy for the day. The hours that she puts in making sure each student has what they need are countless, there have been plenty of late nights getting materials and fun activities ready for her students. She does what she can to make sure that each student know that they can come to her for help with any problem they may encounter.

When i was in 8th grade mrs Hutchinson was my English teacher. I will say that she was the first teacher who really pushed me to keep my grades up in English. this is an amazing teacher i have had. she was kind and she was very helpful with everything over the year. she was always up beat and always wanting to have fun and always trying to make others happy. for her first year as a teacher she did amazing and she was one of the nicest ELA teachers I could ever have, and I would expect her to be at Allen east for a while with how much we loved her we miss her classes every day and wishing that she stays the same and will hopefully be helpful to many others as she was me.

Tayller is really the best teacher! Coming from someone still in school, Tayller is the kind of teacher we all hope for. She goes above and beyond for her kids and doesn’t care just about their grades, but also mental health and physical. She loves to be involved in her students lives and it really shows how much happier students are to go to school!

We had just transferred to Allen East this school year (2024-2025) & had a very nervous middle schooler. Walking into her room on meet the teacher night immediately put that anxiety at ease. She is such a warm person and really knows how to make the kids feel truly loved and welcomed. Even just meeting her, I knew right away how important of a person she would be in my son’s life and the impact she would make. I see her daily staying late and putting all of her effort into her daily plans for these children. Tayller deserves this nomination for the dedication, hard work, and countless hours she puts back into the children!

In just 1 month of the school year, Mrs Hutchinson has already put so much heart and kindness into helping my son succeed. She sees his struggles, and has worked to find ways to promote learning that works best for him. Tayller is the teacher we all wish we had when we were kids. She is 1000% for the kids, the way she cares first and judges last is just so aspiring. She always wants what’s best for the students and it is so evident in her day to day teaching. She knows that it isn’t necessarily all about what is learned in the classroom as far as academics go, but what the student gains from being in the safe place she calls her classroom. Tayller is so deserving of this nomination!
