Susie Baker was nominated by a family member, Charlotte Atkinson.

Ms. Baker has a heart dedicated to helping young children who need extra support. She consistently goes the extra mile to ensure every student succeeds, no matter how small the task. From a young age, Ms. Baker knew she wanted to help others and found her purpose through education.

Ms. Baker has taught various grades throughout her career, but her passion and talent truly shine in early childhood education, particularly with special needs students. Her journey is deeply personal—her oldest son has special needs, and through that experience, Ms. Baker developed invaluable insights. This personal connection has shaped her ability to guide other parents and children, empowering them to advocate for themselves. 

Ms. Baker's dedication to her students is unwavering. She always puts the children she teaches first, constantly adjusting her approach when a child struggles to grasp a concept. Her creativity, patience, and compassion allow her to connect with her students meaningfully.
