In every school, there are individuals who stand out not just for their professional skills but for their innate ability to care for others. For us, that person is Christine. Her caring nature is evident in every interaction she has, whether it’s with students or staff. From the moment she steps into the school, Christine radiates warmth and compassion. She takes the time to get to know each student, understanding their individual needs and challenges. It’s not uncommon to see her in the halls, pausing to tie a student’s shoes or offering a comforting word to someone who is feeling down. This small gesture speaks volumes about her dedication; it shows that she sees her students as more than just names on a roster. Christine doesn’t stop there; her impact extends to the entire staff. She has introduced numerous helpful programs that have made our school a better place for both teachers and students. Whether it’s a new initiative to enhance learning or a wellness program to support staff, Christine’s thoughtful approach ensures that everyone feels valued and supported. Her caring nature creates a nurturing environment where students feel safe and motivated to learn. It is this quality that not only enriches our school community but also inspires others to show kindness and compassion. In conclusion, Christine is a true asset to our school, and her caring spirit is a shining example of what it means to be an educator. Through her actions, she teaches us all the importance of empathy and support, reminding us that a little care can go a long way.

I have the honor of serving as School Board President of Lowellville Schools and was part of the team that hired Mrs Sawicki as our Superintendent. She exemplifies all the qualities of an exceptional leader and in a short-time has put the District on a path of excellence. Mrs Sawicki is forward-thinking, data-driven sets high expectations for the administration and staff and makes decisions for the long-term benefit of all students. At the same time she rolls of her sleeves and is part of the day to day fabric of the District and community at large from working the door for morning arrival to attending extra curricular activities and community events. But most importantly, Mrs Sawicki CARES and goes above and beyond to ensure the academic, physical and emotional well being of all the students in our district. We are very fortunate to have her at the helm of Lowellville Schools.

Christine Sawicki was my son’s principal during his senior year. My wife and I were blessed to have known her and the students were blessed to have her leading them. She embodies the perfect combination of toughness and love. She genuinely cares for her students. We felt overjoyed when we saw she had returned as the school superintendent. The students are in good hands.

I have known Christine for many years as an educator. I admired her rigor when she worked for the County and as a teacher, I would take PD’s from her and have her support as she came to our school. I now have the privilege of working with her as a Literacy Coach! I learned so much from her-educationally, socially, and emotionally! A born leader-kind, compassionate, top notch and truly a life changer-she makes things happen!

This is my son’s first year at Lowellville after coming in as an open enrollment child. I have to say that the positive impact that everyone has had on him since coming here has been amazing. His complete attitude towards school has changed. He has told me so many times how much he really likes this school and that he can’t believe what a difference this school is for him. I know the superintendents have the day in whether there is open enrollment in each district and I have to say that with my son being able to go to this school it has really made a change in his life. You can definitely see the togetherness of the teaching staff and how positive everyone is and I would have to say that would come from amazing leadership from the superintendent.
