Music that Describes Nina

Nina Musto was nominated by a colleague, Guy Koppe.

Ms. Musto is conscientious and dedicated. She has, and continues to, go above and beyond in all that she does for her students at Dawe Elementary School. For example, when a student came to Stoughton from Ukraine, Ms. Musto was insistent that she could help get him some clothes and other necessities. She talked with other colleagues and put together a care package for the student. She always puts the needs of others ahead of her own needs and is always looking for ways she can make a difference.

Mrs. Musto is absolutely the best! She works tirelessly each and everyday. She takes care of the students at the Dawe Elementary School as if they were her own children. She makes sure every student has a delicious meal for breakfast and lunch. As the School Nurse, I often ask her for the ingredients in the daily hot lunch and carbohydrate count. Mrs. Musto stops what she is doing to aid in supporting students who have food allergies and other medical conditions in order to put their health and safety as a top priority. She has a great sense of humor and we often enjoy a laugh first thing in the morning. Mrs. Musto is a dear colleague, coworker, and I feel lucky to call her a friend. She is the best chef and all of the staff and students are grateful to be able to enjoy her cooking everyday at the Dawe. Mrs. Musto is a Life Changer. She makes a difference in the lives of us all at the Dawe: staff, colleagues, families, and students each and every day. Congratulations on your nomination; Mrs. Musto! You deserve this and soooo much more!??

Mrs. Musto is one of the most genuinely kind people have met. It’s so clear that she loves each of the kids that come through her kitchen.

Nina is one of the hardest working people I have ever worked with. She's organized and patient and it is a pleasure to work with her. She is so deserving of this honor.

Mrs Musto is an amazing woman, she treats every one of these children like they were her own, she very clearly cares about the health and welfare of every student. I work with with her in the school fair kitchen every year and she is the best to work with, she runs that kitchen like a well oiled machine. She always has a great sense of humor and a positive attitude and we are so lucky to have her at the Dawe!

Mrs. Musto is one of the best. She is always thinking about what is best for our children. She will make sauce home made for Friday Pizza. She will make sure that they are always getting their favorites and knows what each child will eat. We are lucky to know our kids are being treated like her own every day. Thank you Mrs. Musto.

Mrs. Musto is a true gem! We are so lucky to have her at the Dawe school. She goes above and beyond to make sure that every child and staff is cared for and fed. She is the kindest human I have ever met. Last year, she was kind enough to share her office space with me, and I can’t thank her enough.

She is truly the best. I have cafeteria duty in the morning at the Dawe School. I see Mrs. Musto in action everyday. She makes sure that all the students who go through the breakfast line get their meal along with juice and milk. We have a diverse student population and English may not be their first language. She is able to communicate to those students as well. From my POV, she is always so nice to me. There are times when I do forget my lunch and if it happens to be mac & cheese day or the ultimate favorite of the entire school - a full fledged turkey dinner, she will always give me a sample. Congratulations on your nomination....it is so well deserved!!!!

Mrs. Musto is the kindest, sweetest person. She cares so much about every child, even the children who have graduated. She shares advice on cooking and gardening and even shares her plants! The entire school loves her so much!!!

Mrs. Musto is fluent in the love language of food. Every meal she creates with her dedicated and talented team reminds students and staff members that they are important and cared for. She models patience, respect, and kindness, and she has a wonderful sense of humor, too! Being a Cafeteria Manager is such an important role, because Mrs. Musto helps assure that students’ nutritional and emotional mealtime needs are addressed with dignity. She maintains high safety standards, including helping students with allergy concerns make safe food choices. She also walks through the cafeteria during each lunch session to gauge which meals and sides are student favorites. Nina Musto and her staff truly serve up love, every single school day.
