Katherine Hale was nominated by her colleague, Lindsay Judd. 

"Katherine is one of my very best friends. She is an amazing mother, foster mom, and beautiful soul. Katherine has certainly changed my life, and I hope that by sharing her story, she will be recognized as the LifeChanger she is," said Judd.

Ms. Hale does a superb job ensuring every child in her classroom feels valued and accepted by promoting kindness and respect among her students. She epitomizes empathy, patience, and a positive attitude, showing students how to navigate emotions and relationships effectively. Ms. Hale acknowledges each student's efforts and milestones to build their confidence and self-worth. She is consistent in her classroom practices and expectations to help students feel secure, especially if they face challenges outside of school. Ms.Hale models respect and kindness in her classroom and instills these values in her students, who then carry them into the school community. This ripple effect strengthens the school's overall culture.

She collaborates and shares effective teaching strategies that inspire and support her peers while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Ms. Hale offers leadership within her school by hosting student teachers in her classroom, sitting on vertical committees, and special programs within the district.
