"Mrs. Ramirez has been a guiding light for countless students. I have had the pleasure of working with this teacher for several years and have watched her blossom into an amazing teacher and role model. I've witnessed her encourage students to think critically, believe in their own potential, and push them to pursue their passions," said the nominator.
Mrs. Ramirez fosters an environment of trust and understanding, ensuring that each student in her class and those she's had previously feels valued and capable of achieving great things. She has a unique ability to recognize individual strengths and weaknesses and use that to create unique, engaging, tailored activities that help students grow both academically and personally.
"Recently this year, I had a friend reach out to me. Her daughter is in Mrs. Ramirez's class. I knew my friend and her family secretly went through a rough patch. When I checked in on her and her daughter, she broke down in tears and said she is so grateful for Valley View and Mrs. Ramirez," said the nominator. "Her daughter loves attending school because Mrs. Ramirez treats her like someone special. She said she looks forward to her morning hugs before entering the class and loves how Mrs. Ramirez always makes time for her and her classmates to vent and tell her if they are having a hard day. In her daughter's words, 'You can tell she listens to us and cares.'"
Mrs. Ramirez is a colleague but she was also my granddaughters teacher. My granddaughter always talked about how much she loved the things they did in class. One day she said, " Grandma I don't want to hurt your feelings but as much as you decorate your class for the holidays, Mrs. Ramirez is way better." I love that my granddaughter had such a great experience with Mrs. Ramirez. As far as myself, I have been inspired by her to different ideas and ways of bringing culture and experiences to my classroom. She is so willing to share her ideas which impacts not only her class but others as well. I'm so happy, that as a teacher for almost 20 years, I am able to grow as a teacher from Mrs. Ramirez.
Mrs Ramirez was my son's pre school teacher when she taught in Yakima. Not only did my son learn a lot from her, he started kinder knowing second grade stuff and doing puzzles upside down. She's amazing
Mrs. Ramirez was my daughter’s third grade teacher. Valley View was a new school for her, so she was very nervous to start. However, Mrs. Ramirez made her third grade year a very exciting and memorable one. She learned a lot from her and with her. She truly made a positive impact on my daughter’s learning. She made my daughter feel comfortable both in her classroom and in a new school. As a parent and someone who has worked with her for several years now, I have seen her dedication and commitment to her students firsthand. My daughter is now in 6th grade and still talks about Mrs. Ramirez and tells anyone who will hear her that she is one of her favorites. This is a well deserved recognition.
Mrs.Ramirez is such a wonderful, caring, thoughtful and loving teacher! You’re such an inspiration and just love seeing your class projects and new ideas that you do, throughout the years!! Congratulations! you truly deserve it! Good luck this year & all the upcoming! :)
I haven’t had any of my kids in Chantel’s class because they go to another school but I have been friends with her on social media for a while and remember her from school and she is such an amazing educator! I can see how much love and passion she puts into her classroom and especially her students!! Awesome job Chantel!

My sister goes above and beyond for every one of her students that come through her classroom! She is always trying to find new ways to support not only the education but the enjoyment and comfortable for every student or individual within her classroom! Well deserved recognition!
Mrs. Ramirez is an amazing teacher but more than that, she’s an amazing person. She values each of her students as individuals and works so hard to ensure that each student has a memorable and meaningful experience in her care. Our school is incredibly lucky to have her and there is no one more deserving of this recognition.
We haven't kids that attended Mrs. Ramirez's class but we love seeing all the amazing things she does for her students. Well deserved.
My daughter has a passion for her students and believes in every single one of them. She encourages creative experiences to make everyone of them feel special and confident in what they can learn in school. She loves teaching and it shows!
I met Mrs. Ramirez, her first year as a teacher, she was my son's teacher. Even as a first year teacher she was already going above and beyond for her students, always finding ways to make sure all her students reached their full potential. Throughout the years, she has continued to not only inspire her students, but also her peers!! Mrs. Ramirez, you are truly amazing!!

I have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Ramirez for many years now and every year she just gets better and better at her craft. She consistently models empathy, active listening and genuine care for her students and families. She knows her kiddos can achieve great things she won't accept anything less from them. She does this by bringing fun and engaging learning opportunities every day to her kids while consistently holding space for them to build empathy, practice self-regulation or just share a tough time. Her classroom is truly a family and our school is incredibly lucky and grateful to have her!
Mrs. Ramirez is one of the best humans our elementary is lucky to have. She is not only the children’s teacher, she is their support system. She sees the kids as more than just her next class, she is involved and supportive of the activities the kids have outside the classroom & has donated for fundraisers time and time again! We love Mrs. Ramirez and are so lucky to have her!
