Music that Describes Raisa
Raisa Quintero was nominated by a member of the community, Victoria Hernandez.
"I nominate Ms. Quintero for the LifeChanger of the Year Award with deep admiration, respect, and honor. From the first day I met her, I was struck by her warmth and kindness. Without knowing who I was or why I was visiting, Ms. Quintero greeted my team and me with such genuine hospitality that it immediately felt like we had known each other for years. This welcoming spirit is just a small glimpse into the heart of who she is and the positive impact she has on everyone around her," said Hernandez.
Her desk is a beautiful reflection of the relationships she has built—filled with handwritten notes and photos from the many lives she has touched. She doesn't just come to work; she shows up daily with a heart full of care and a willingness to give more than is asked. Whether it's keeping nutritious snacks on hand to support her students, offering a listening ear to a colleague, or simply sharing a smile that brightens someone's day, Ms. Quintero embodies selflessness and kindness.
For over 11 years, she has dedicated herself to the students and staff at Field Elementary, pouring her heart into her role at Reception. She never seeks recognition but quietly makes a profound difference every single day. Her love for the children—no matter their background—shines through in everything she does. She ensures every student who walks through those doors feels seen, valued, and cared for.
What truly sets Ms. Quintero apart is her professional dedication and how she brings her whole self to her work. She often speaks with love and pride about her family, her long-time boyfriend, and her beloved cats, showing us that her heart is as big as her capacity for care. Her compassion and gratitude for the opportunity to serve in education after transitioning from the service industry have been a driving force in her unwavering commitment to her role.
"Ms. Quintero's kindness and dedication make her more than deserving of the LifeChanger of the Year Award. She touches lives in profound and lasting ways, and I have no doubt that everyone who has had the privilege of crossing her path has been better for it. She is, without a doubt, a LifeChanger in the truest sense," said Hernandez.
