"As a middle college principal, she oversees students taking classes through Trident Technical College and ensures that no student is burdened by financial barriers regarding their education. She holds high expectations, encouraging students to give 100% effort at all times, yet she also understands that mistakes happen. When I was late turning in mandatory forms, she forgave me and ensured I wouldn't suffer due to an honest mistake," said the student.
Dr. Smith's care extends beyond academics. If a student forgets to sign up for lunch before school starts, she makes sure they are well fed, no matter what. She is also the most approachable principal I have ever had—I never feel intimidated when meeting with her or admitting a mistake," said the student.
