Mr. Garcia is truly a wonderful teacher! I am a school counselor and I will never forget last school year when one of my 8th-grade students felt defeated and had no hope that he was going to pass the school year. This student needed to remediate some courses/terms, had academic challenges, and constantly missed school due to disciplinary action. However, this student really wanted to turn things around and strengthen his academic skills, but with his learning gaps, he felt hopeless. When I spoke with Mr. Garcia about this situation, without hesitation, he agreed to tutor the student one-on-one in the mornings before school. Not only was the student's hope renewed, but he finished his 8th-grade school year strong and is currently a freshman in high school. This student's success may not have come to fruition had Mr. Garcia not stepped in. I truly appreciate you, Mr. Garcia!
