Mrs. Nolan is a calm and gentle teacher (when she needs to be) and she helps with students who are struggling to handle their feelings and emotions. she is fair and when something seems unfair, she makes it fair. I have anger issues and anxiety and I'm dealing with big emotions, and she helps me with dealing with them and supports me. when people are messing with me and making me upset, she tells me to go for a break together and helps me calm down she also gives me and bailey headphones if it gets too loud. She has really helped me manage some of my anger I have. She also helps me with my work and makes sure I get help. if I have trouble opening my locker and I'm about to be late for my next class she helps me, and I get my stuff and I'm not late. She is the best teacher that helps me and other people who needs special needs. I think she needs to be the teacher of the year. Thats the reason why I want her to be teacher of the year.

Mrs. Nolan has greatly changed my life for the better! Over ten years ago, I walked into Dayton High School as a brand new English teacher, and one of the first people I interacted with was Mrs. Nolan, one of the collaborative teachers I taught with at Dayton. I was nervous, scared, under-prepared, and Mrs. Nolan was immediately there for me. She taught me all sorts of strategies and techniques to run my classroom, supported me when things didn’t go well, and was always there to help out whenever I needed it. I know I wouldn’t be the educator I am today without the help of Mrs. Nolan! Thank you.
