Ms. Alvarez tries to create a safe and positive environment. She tells her students all the time that mistakes are expected and then corrected, and they move on. She wants them to grow as learners. She hears students out when there is a conflict and helps them come to a resolution. In her district, she does a lot to make sure her students have the supplies that they need to have a successful school year, including pencils, notebooks, binders, and earbuds.
